Management and Occupancy Review (MOR) is a comprehensive review of owner/agent compliance with HUD requirements. The review consists of auditing samples of resident files, a full audit of policies, and an inspection of sample apartments to ensure all HUD guidelines are upheld. MRC Affordable Housing consistently maintains a rating within the top ten percent of the nation.
“Getting a superior rating with HUD is a really big deal. But consistently holding superior ratings since 2011 is off the charts! We are going on our eleventh year of these type of outcomes, it’s something we are really proud of,” bragged Joy Keels, MRC VP of Affordable Housing.
Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) also comes to do a physical inspection which is essentially a white glove test to ensure the property is well-maintained. The score for each MRC campus ranges between a 90-99 which is rare within HUD properties.
Keels went on to say, “We have a team that is committed to giving their all. These outcomes are only one of the ways that our team’s hard work is on display, the most important outcome they produce is the happy residents who live here, that is really how we know we are doing a great job.”
